A maniac named Art the Clown terrorizes his two friends on Halloween and anyone else who gets in his way. David Howard Thornton was the sixth person to audition for Art the Clown after Mike Giannelli withdrew from the role and the theater. At the audition, he began impersonating his decapitated victim to taste her blood, but later added salt to enhance the flavor. This is what won him the role. In the shots where Tara is gagged with duct tape, the tape is clearly not touching the bottom of her mouth in some early shots, while in other shots it is tightly around both of her lips.
