After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot named Roz is stranded on a deserted island
To survive the harsh environment, Roz bonds with the island’s animals and takes care of an orphaned baby goose. Lupita Nyong’o is joined by writer-director Chris Sanders to talk about the remarkable work and their time together making The Wild. Robot together… According to author Peter Brown, "The Wild Robot" came from a sketch he made of a robot in a tree.

Key Lime Pie is the beautiful, all-encompassing story in this animated masterpiece that tackles so many hot topics, including finding your heart or living with a disability, without preaching to anyone. I laughed so hard during the first act at the brilliant, natural comic moments shared from Peter Brown’s book of the same name.

The second act left me wondering where this story arc would take viewers, and the third act left me with salt water in my eyes. A celebrity voice cast including Lupita Nyong’o, Catherine O’Hara (“Beetlejuice” is so hot right now), Bill Nighy, Matt Berry (“Toast of London”), Ving Rhames, Mark Hamill, Pedro Pascal and many more breathe amazing work into this script, supported by the lush island atmosphere and the wonderful creatures that inhabit it. Director Chris Sanders’ obsession with animation from “Lilo and Stitch” and “The Croods” paid dividends in “The Wild Robot.” This film shows us that sometimes you have to be more than you plan on being to survive.
