Plot
The story of how a young Donald Trump started a real estate business in New York in the 1970s and 1980s with the help of infamous lawyer Roy M. Cohn. Shocking scenes generally have a purpose

Megalopolis was a beautiful mess, Joker 2 was messy without being beautiful (but it took risks, I guess), Terrifier 3 actually made me nauseous (I didn’t sleep well last night because I saw it last night too) and now The Apprentice is going to some crazy places. There are a few points where I was like, "can they show it?" I was shocked. I think the movie’s argument is presented without much subtlety, but I guess some people still think Jordan Belfort is great based on The Wolf of Wall Street, so who knows.
Will Trump sue?
On the other hand, there is one very alarming scene that seems to be clearly there to tell what the filmmakers think of Trump’s character. It will be the most controversial scene. Has he started the process yet? Also, the continuation of this scene is missing, which made me even more worried and upset. I think that was the intention.
In The Apprentice, writing is enough for things and I’m not
Some people aren’t going to like it — people who like and don’t like Trump — and I wonder if it will make The Apprentice the blonde of the year. I don’t think it could end, but otherwise I was entertained. The three leads – Sebastian Stan, Jeremy Strong and Maria Bakalová – are phenomenal. Juxtaposing Trump’s rise with Roy Cohn’s fall was a necessary angle, but it makes for an extremely compelling drama. It’s a blunt film, but there are some nuances in the parts that I think will spark debate and/or arguments.
This film will stick in my mind for a while
