Plot
After witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient, a psychiatrist becomes increasingly convinced that she is threatened by a strange entity. A few days before the release on September 30, 2022, the actors from the film showed up at various baseball games, standing. behind home plate, still and smiling as he looks into the camera, still, despite fans in the audience being concerned, while wearing Smile T-shirts. Another soon appeared in the background with the crowd during the Today show.. About 31 minutes in, Rose breaks a glass when her alarm goes off. When the glass is shown at her feet, she is wearing socks.

Based on what happens later at a later party, there are several continuity issues that may not be “mistakes”; but it may actually be deliberate to show “pauses”; in Rose’s consciousness/sanity.. Why are you doing this to me? The monstrosity: Because your mind is so inviting.. Paramount’s opening and closing logos have a curved line in the shape of a smile at the base of the mountain. It is very well directed and the atmosphere is really strange
This movie scared the crap out of me from start to finish. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a horror movie this good. The story is a bit cliche at times, but it’s well written and well acted most of the time. The acting is also great, which isn’t always the norm when it comes to horror movies. The first girl who died in the movie had probably the most unpleasant smile I’ve ever seen in my entire life. Especially when the therapist started seeing her in the dark as a hallucination.
That really gave me chills
Then there were some smiles that weren’t very scary, like patient Carl. The pace of the film was excellent. It became more and more creepy as the story progressed. The ending was really etched in my brain and I actually thought I was going to have nightmares that night, which doesn’t happen to me very often. The day after I saw this movie, a car drove past me and the old man driving looked at me and smiled… The only thing I could think about was this movie.
This was Parker Finn’s first feature film
I really hope he makes more movies like this. A good start to his career as a writer/director. Well done!
