Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers beyond anything they’ve faced before. With their abilities outmatched, the Sonic team must seek an unlikely alliance.. The filmmakers of previous films have cited Sonikku adobenchâ 2 (2001) and Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) as playing single game for inspiration. The film was also inspired by narrative elements of the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993).
