The filmmakers used what was already at their disposal
Plot
After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the timid town of Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her little brother on Halloween night. The haunted house scenes in “Terrifier” were shot in a real haunted house called the Fright Factory in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Art’s favorite acid is fluoroantimonic acid, which he keeps in a clear glass bottle.
Art the Clown:
It’s a superacid that can dissolve even glass. There is a mid-credits scene in a mental hospital with Chris Jericho as a security guard, Alan Burke and Leah Voysey as the nurse. The German DVD and Blu-ray releases from Tiberius Film are trimmed by about three minutes to ensure the “Not Under 18” rating (this was necessary because the guidelines for video releases are stricter than for theatrical releases).

Virtually all of the violent scenes were cut to tone down the violence. The Mediabook 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray releases from Nameless Media are completely uncut and have received a light SPIO/JK stamp of approval. The writing needs work, and lots of it
(IMC). A bloody mess and a decent story, if you like slasher horror this is for you. The adult authority figures are irrational and overreact while the kids don’t bat an eyelid, it’s awkward and unrealistic.
This movie is fun to watch, flaws aside, and I’m excited for Terrifier 3
The dialogue from the supporting characters is also clunky and doesn’t seem to have received much attention beyond the first draft. The art is ruthless and treacherous, showing more personality this time around, becoming a horror icon as the dumbest killer who clearly loves what he does. The gore effects are excellent and hopefully with the success of Terrifier 2, the third one will bring a bigger budget for better actors and writers.
